The Birth of a Legend
Inspired by the mid-engine Lola Mk6 GT, Ford created the GT40 to defeat Ferrari. The program achieved a historic 1-2-3 finish at the 1966 24 Hours of Le Mans.
1966
First-Gen Tribute
Ford unveiled a modern road car inspired by the GT40, launching the first-generation Ford GT for its 2005 centennial celebration.
2005
GT1 Unveiling
Founded in 2006, Swiss firm Matech Concepts partnered with Ford Racing to develop and construct the championship-winning FIA GT1 and GT3 racing versions of the Ford GT sports car.
2010
Le Mans Victory
Fifty years after its first win, the No. 68 Ford GT won the LM GTE Pro class at Le Mans, beating Ferrari once again.
2016
Lynx Motor Works Build
Lynx began rebuilding donor GT chassis as an exclusive tribute to the 2016 Le Mans victory, adding full carbon fiber, updated interior technology and modernized performance.
